Annual Leander Lions Football Banquet

Saturday, Jan. 7th, LHS Gym
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
Dinner shortly after

Pre-sale tickets will be available this Friday, Dec. 2nd from Coach Harper. Price is $12.00 per person. Each football player will receive a ticket - free of charge - for their own admittance/meal.

You are welcome to purchase by cash or check. If by check, they should be made out to LLFB and include drivers license and phone number.

"Then and Now" Slide Show

Attention Sr. Parents

It is time to dig out a cute baby pic (or two) of your son for the annual "Then and Now" slide show. So, please find your pics, put them in an envelope with your son's name and number. We are asking that you (or your son) drop them off in the front office at school or have your son give them directly to Tyler Rountree.

If you have digital pics, you can email them to gloatkinson@austin.rr.com. Please be sure to label your pics with your son's name. (Make sure the the email is delivered correctly. Sometimes, when the photo files are too large, they are rejected. In that case, you will have to either reduce the size or deliver them directly)

All pics must be turned in by Wednesday, December 14th as this will allow enough time to work on it during the break.

Banquet Duties

Senior Parents and players - Get baby pictures in on time (Dec 14th), "Then and Now" slide show (Parents are welcome to come help setup and decorate but leave the boys at home.)
Junior Parents and players - Setup and Decorate gym
Sophomore Parents and players - Setup and Decorate gym
Freshmen Parents and players - Clean up after the banquet

Banquet Decorating

Setup and Decorating will begin at 12 noon on Saturday, Jan. 7th. We need lot's of help to transform the gym. Please come out and help. If we have lot's of helping hands, we can get this task done quickly and all have time to go prepare for the big night. Hope to see you all, if even for 30 minutes.

Action Figures

Good morning Lions' fans!

it was really nice visiting with you guys yesterday at Cubs Stadium. I get a chance to visit with lots of out of town football fans when I show off my action figures at high school games, and you guys were some of the nicest I've come across. Sorry it didn't end so well for you though.

In looking at my orders that I need to get done before Christmas, I'm about four or five figures behind and several ornaments, so there's a CHANCE, I can get some done for you for Christmas, but i can't make any promises. I have several ornaments left over from the game, so all i need to do is add #s, so I know i can get them done. If any of you need more ornaments or know of other moms on the team who maybe didn't see them because they didn't tailgate with you guys, let them know to contact me immediately and i'll see what i can do.

There was a mom with a shirt that had an "09" in red at the game who wanted an ornament and i didn't think to get her name or email... if any of you moms know who i'm referring to, tell her to contact me and i'll hook her up with one!

Here's what i need from you if you want a six inch action figure:

send me name of player and his position
send me photo or photos of him so i can see how he wore his socks, what shoes he wore and what gloves he wore. Those three things seem to set the players apart and i TRY to get those details done as best i can. After i get this info from you i can email you a picture of figures to choose from for your son's size and position and we'll go from there.
send me a check for $20 to Todd Wellmann, 707 peachtree dr. in Brenham, 77833. This is merely a down payment on the final fee of $65 to let me know you're truly interested in my painting a figure for you. i just don't have time to paint figures for people who don't intend to pay me when it's done. If for some reason I don't get your figure done by Christmas, I'll mail $20 back to you or we'll work on the figure for graduation or something. Before i send it to you, i'll email a picture of it to you for you to ok and that's when you can send the final $45.
