Every two years on February 2nd, Texas school classifications (5A, 4A, 3A etc) are recalculated based on student population thresholds and district teams are realigned accordingly. Based on projected numbers, in all likelihood, Leander will be heading to 4A for the next couple years. It is also possible that all LISD schools will be in the same District, making for exciting competition between old teammates from youth and middle school football. Announcing the 2nd Leander Lion 5K Fun Run and 1K Cub Run on
the Leander High School campus Saturday April 28th, 2012. This run
serves as the primary fund raiser for the Leander Student Athletic Trainer
program. The race course starts/ends in AC Bible Memorial Stadium and
will continue around the Leander High School campus. This family oriented
race will take place on a safe closed course great for all ages and is one of
the cheaper races you can find in the greater Austin area.
